Current Mood: Cool

Okay, I have a bit of a dilemma. Well, it’s not really a dilemma, but it’s something that I would love input on.

I have been graced with a three-character domain name: y3p.net. For those of us that reads 1337 speak, that translates to “yep.” So, kinda cute. And three-character domains of the .com/.net variety are highly coveted… The fewer characters in the domain name, the more easily they are remembered. People pay super high dollar for these… Check www.3character.com/ for info. So, now that I have one, I’m trying to decide what to do with it. So here is my idea:

I am a persistent web info junkie. I post lots and lots of links. So what I was thinking was a website… of websites. But not one of those stupid “links of links” pages (remember how those suckers used to show up on search engines constantly and would drive you nuts?). Think of something similar to Fark, but with my own commentary. Not a news site, per se, but stuff that I find interesting and would like to share with the world. Much like I do on Facebook or Twitter, but is more permanent. It would be blog-style, and it would be categorized by subject. I can’t promise how often it would be updated though… Sometimes I’m not so great at updating stuff. But to give you an idea of how often I share links… I just pulled from my Facebook profile: Displaying 6 – 15 out of 725 links.

So… what do you think? Think that anyone would bother with looking my link soup?
